What is the documentary about?

Due to its diploma-granting methods, the for-profit boarding school and behavior rehabilitation center, The Academy at Ivy Ridge, for troublesome youths, was forced to close and face legal action. Despite not having the proper authority, the institution awarded degrees to its students, which resulted in partial refunds for them as well as a civil penalty. After the school’s request to award diplomas was turned down, it closed its doors in 2009.

Several teens are shown in the official trailer being abducted in the middle of the night and taken to The Academy at Ivy Ridge. A sequence of graphic pictures depicts pupils being strangled and others laying facedown on the ground with their wrists bound behind them. While filming the docuseries, some video was captured, and some was recreated.

In the official video, a woman is heard stating, “I arrived at 3 a.m. and was informed that I could no longer speak.” Additionally, you are unable to depart. Someone else remarks, “They were treated like prisoners.”
